Dec 19 -- APL Match #7

HEADLINE!!: TBWA WINS 3-0 vs UB
TBWA Team: Etern, FuZZy, Guess, Nano vs.
UB Team: Pharcyde, Pinchy, Dakaza, Joanie

Report:

With Guess still putting in contacts 45 minutes before the game was suppose to start, he hears Eternity from the next room saying.. "Hurry Guess, were gonna start!"

Guess just then barely makes it to the game squinty eyes and all and starting playing.. The Ref had launched the new APL map which we asked to play golden oldie, but no luck we were stuck with the new map this match..

Game starts... FuZZy and Nano take off immediately on the offense and burst into the UB base strong and Nano cames out with the flag with nice cover all the way by Guess and Eternity, giving TBWA the 1-0 lead after only 2 minutes of game play.

The next 2 flags were exact replicas of the first flag,
with each flag run taking 2 minutes with Eternity capturing the 2nd flag and 3rd flag was stolen by FuZZy.

The match was a total of approximately 6 minutes in length.
TBWA went 3-3 in flag runs and outscored UB 38-0...

MVP: FuZZy and Eternity shared the MVP this game

Dec 13 -- APL Match #6

HEADLINE!!: TBWA WINS 3-0 vs XON
TBWA Team: Knight, Etern, Atomic, S-Shot vs.
XON Team: Jester, Havok, Hornet

Report:

The match started with 3 XON's vs 4 TBWA's. Before the match even started S-Shot pinged out making it a 3 on 3. The first run TBWA came in strong and just out-powered XON in kills, Knight brought the flag all the way home given TBWA a 1-0 lead.

The second run was pretty much the same, then MobG came in and filled in S-Shot's spot and made it 4 XON on 3 TBWA for a while.. They played for a short time while the Extra XON played illegally but we continued play and didn't whine about it :) Then after a while the extra XON was asked to leave by the ref. During the last flag run S-Shot was then able to came back for the finals 2 minutes of the game where S-Shot spawned where Knight was coming home with our flag and killed off XON's last attempt at saving their flag and TBWA scored their last run. :) This is where Atomic saved the day!

MVP: went to XONJester for getting more than 1 point against us :)

Dec 12 -- APL Match #5

HEADLINE!!: TBWA WINS 3-0 vs ZULU
TBWA Team: Guess, Etern, Echo, Nano, vs.
ZULU Team: Perite, Baal, Goat, Baron

Report:

After a long wait for Baal to show up the game got underway. We all entered the game and Nano got promised the paddle before play even started (thats gotta be a record).

The first 5mins or so was just stalemate fighting but TBWA pushed into an attacking position, and there they stayed for the entire match. Etern made the first flag return aided by brilliant cover, the ZULU chase didnt even make it past halfway.

The second return was also nice, Echo made a clean grab and brought it back with Guess and Etern to give us the lead 2-0 with 13mins to play.

The third return was somewhat tougher. Etern made the grab initially but only made it a little bit before halfway before a smoking ZULU got thru and killed her. Echo and Nano were covering right behind in support when this happened, so Echo, even though he was smoking, grabbed the flag and started running. Nano covered just behind him, as two ZULU's came at them. Nano killed one and wounded the other who was finished off by Echo's missile.

The match wasn't that hard as compared to our two matches last weekend. Remember we are playing XON tommorrow, so keep practicing!

Dec 5 -- APL Match #4

HEADLINE!!: TBWA defeats 2-0 vs UFO
TBWA Team: Guess, Etern, Echo, Nano, Goose Atomic vs.
UFO Team: MoonSkt, AndyAT, Acolyte, Yebo, ArchDlx, Micah

Report:

It was our first 6 on 6 in APL™, and everyone was getting a little nervous. There were all together 10 TBWA in arena before we started, it was an awesome sight :)

For the first 10 mins it was a stale mate battle much of the time except for the first few mins when Nano made a mini flag run to halfway before being killed.

Finally when TBWA broke through all together.. Goose grabbed the flag and suddenly everyone switched into protection mode. Goose was covered brilliantly all the way home, and we took an important 1-0 lead.

The second flag return was a miracle. It occured about 10mins after the first one, when Guess and Nano broke into the uFo base, with Nano quickly grabbing the flag. They then made it to the large bouncy hallway at the bottom right of the map below red holding.. with and Nano smoking. Guess held uFo off as long as he could before dying, giving Nano only a small lead. There were about 4 uFo's right behind Nano, who dodged most things they shot until help in the form of Etern, Echo, Goose and Atomic arrived. Nano made it to the safety of the bunker below the vertical bridge in the middle.. but had to move quickly has uFo's were only inches away from him. Atomic provided awesome cover up the bridge so Nano could make it by with only one laser hitting him. He then cruised all the way home to give us the 2-0 lead.

MoonSkt made a late flag grab but was quickly killed at half way. TBWA just then held off for the last 5mins to seal the victory.

Congrats to all that played, it was a tough tough match because of the numbers, but TBWA pulled through brilliantly. Remember to keep practicing for next weeks APL games!

Dec 5 -- APL Match #3

HEADLINE!!: TBWA WINS 3-0 vs UB (Fmz/NLN)
TBWA Team: Guess, Eternity, Echo, Nano, Goose vs.
UB Team: Sexybooty, Pinchy, Jarv, Pharcyde, TalkingGoat
------------------------------------------------------------

Report: Well it was 3:27pm EST, 3 mins before the match, and there was no Nano to be found. Nano finally pulls his sleepy butt into gear and comes on with 1 min to spare, it turns out it was lucky that he go his sleep :)

The game was tough, and the flag runs that were successfull were always very close. The first flag run came after about 10mins of tough play. Nano grabbed the flag and was quickly covered by Etern and a helper to the north so Nano could go down south. But Phar respawned and suddenly Nano was involved in a mini duel which he luckily won before a smoking SB got through to him but she was killed quickly.

The second flag return came about 10mins after this one and was also tight. Nano grabbed it again and slipped through before making it half way and being covered again by his awesome teammates :)

While all this offense was happening, Guess was having a relaxing time picking off UB's as they went for our flag, they made 4 unsuccessfull attempts.

The third return was one of the best to ever have occured in the game of ARC :) Nano grabbed the flag yet again and made it to the bridge with Echo just behind covering him. Suddenly there were respawns everywhere and Nano was smoking, still on the bridge. Echo was taking anything that came towards the bridge and Nano started to make his way across. But then SexyBooty threw a bomb which landed a little behind Nano and only JUST didnt kill him, he had one laser shot of health left. SB then went below the bridge ready to pounce on Nano as soon as he came out. But then the rest of the TBWA crew turned up and Echo killed SB thankfully. Nano then was under constant threat but managed to make it home fairly safely.

This was one of our best victories, against a team of all-stars. Good luck to everyone playing in the match against uFo!

Nov 29 -- APL Match #2

HEADLINE!!: TBWA WINS vs XON
TBWA Team: Eternity, Guess, Atomic, Screenshot vs.
XON Team: Jester, Dragon, Mob, Havok

Nano was sleeping but the rest of the TBWA crew gathered in the arena for their second APL match against XON.

It was our first time playing the XON clan, we didnt know really what to expect from them. It started out good for us once again, we pushed them into their base and tested out their shooting and style of play (basically moving either up, down, left, right and shooting at walls.) During our first attack, the only unsuccessfull run we had (which we didnt pick up the flag), we kept them all busy till our team respawned.. I think the first run is the only time any of us were killed in the match...

The 3 flag runs were right in a row, all within 5 minutes.. the match was a total of 9 minutes, 1st minute was us switching back and fourth to all start out at the same time..

Not much else to say, XON needs some work and a lot of practice to compete with most of the clans in the APL..

Next week match #1: Were up against UB (formerly NLN/Fmz) which should be a great match with Pharcyde leading the pack..

Next week match #2: The UFO crew will try and tackle the bubbles which should also be a interesting match with Moonskirt on their side. (dont kill me Moon, or nano either.) :P

HEADLINE!!: TBWA WINS vs ZULU
TBWA Team: Guess, Eternity, Nano, Goose vs.
Zulu Team: Perite, Buju, Lint, Jackal

APL Match #1

Match started out good for TBWA, quickly gaining control of the map and dominating over to the greens base. Guess grabbed the flag and was escorted home with little problems.

The next 15 minutes of the game was a lot of flag grabs for TBWA, twice were stopped after almost escaping the green proximity of the map. Then came the stand off.. It was gonna be good.. Guess had the flag for TBWA, while Buju was trying to get past Eternity on bottom. Guess was going through middle, and tried to help stop Buju, but the green spawned and quickly escorted buju to safety Guess proceeded through middle to avoid the green force.
(That was however the only flag touch Zulu was able to reach the flag in the TBWA base)

After a few mimutes we were able to break their defense and Guess grabbed their flag and was quickly surrounded by greens with TBWA coming to help carry the flag home for another third return.

Zulu put up a good fight overall and will give most clans are very hard time.

TBWA NEWS UPDATE!

Okay my typewriter broke down thats why there hasn't been any news lately .. :)

Some sad and good things are happening in TBWA at the moment. A sad thing is that Xypher has left TBWA, he has been in the clan for a long long time, so it's sad to see him go. A good thing tho is that Echo has joined TBWA! WooHoo! Also you can check out his top20 by clicking right here.

Nov 7-- HEADLINE!!: Lost to PB in CW FINAL :(
Team: Guess, Eternity, Nano, Goose vs Astrok, Bosh, Halley, Omni

Report: The Pink Bunnies defeated us in the Final Round of Clan Wars.
This match was by far the toughest match we encountered in CW.. The bunnies put up an excellent match against us. Overcoming our defensive and were able to score 3 flags runs in a row.. It was 4 on 4, but felt like there were 8 of them hoping all over us :P

Congratulations to the PB on winning the Clan Wars. We took home 2nd Place and fought hard to earn that title, only flag loss in the entire Clan Wars was to the Bunnies today who scored 3.

Some bad news though is that BlizZ and DeadEye left us. BlizZ left to join TR who has many of his RL friends in it, and DeadEye has been inactive for a long time.

OCT 24--

HEADLINE!!: TBWA WIN SEMI-FINAL 3- 0 vs CO
Team: Guess, Eternity, Blizz, Nano, Goose and Atomic

Report: Well this was going to be an exciting game from the start. Nano was crying and the whole arena was buzzing:) It was also i believe the first 6 on 6 clanwar ever to be held.

The game started not so good, with a couple of us dying early and CO making a bit of ground into our half of the map. But eventually we pushed them back and Guess grabbed the flag. Unfortunately he died but Etern and Goose were there to clean up and Goose ran all the way back and gave us the 1-0 lead.

There was a bit of a gap between the next couple of flag returns..lots of fighting and many players reported after the match about who was giving them problems. We all seemed to have a different player who was giving us trouble. Except Nano, who named the whole team..:)

The second flag return was made by a smoking Guess and a shield named Eternity :) They fired 3 bouncies at Guess but Etern took them all :)

The thrid return was just as close. Most of us were back in our half of the map when Blizz grabbed CO's flag. Nano then went to help and was reported to of said "hold on blizz" before he destroyed Ogre and Groin..who only had to shoot Blizz one more time with a laser to get their flag back. Goose and Nano then held off the rest of the CO's so Blizz could make a safe return.

Also a special mention to Atomic, who saved my life a couple of times :)

We now move onto the clanwars FINAL against the Bunnies. This is going to be *the* match of ARC history, and TBWA is part of it :)

Overall Points:

OCT 10-- HEADLINE: TBWA WIN 3-0 vs Opt
Team: Guess, Eternity, Prunus and at various times each Blizzard, Xypher, and day61

It was a few minutes before the match and Blizzard had to leave at any second, we got the game started as soon as we could..within 3 minutes Blizzard had to leave before any action really took place.. with a 0-0 score..

Soon after Blizzard left, Xypher took over his position and were able to score 1 point.

Our second flag return was Xypher, he was almost to base when opt came over in force and puppy had our flag and was going down the bridge for a getaway, Guess missled down the bridge and recovered the flag then gave xyph some cover before dying and xypher returning the flag with red near..

Then for some unknown reason during game Xypher left, leaving us with 3 again... Day61 was also waiting, and quickly filled the slot where Xypher was.. Day61 quickly racked up points and made a Major play in the game..

Another highlight was when Opt grabbed our flag. All 4 of them together were alone at our base walking back with the flag, day61 was the only person in the area who could stop them, he was up against all 4 opt alone.. Killed 2 and recovered the flag.. WTG Day!!:)

SEPT 30--Well lots of things are happening in TBWA at the moment. A sad thing though is that dakaza left us to join femmz :( But we know that it was a really tough decision for her and wish you all the luck with your old clan :)

SEPT 26-- HEADLINE: TBWA WINS!
Team: Guess, Eternity, Nano, Dakaza and DeadEye

Yes we won our second round clanwars match against a tough SE, 2-0 (due to time restraints). Here is an indepth review on the match:

The battle started bad for TBWA, with DeadEye having problems coming into the game and then leaving it once he was in =( But we managed to hold our own (5 on 4) until he came back and even have a couple of early flag grabs. Nano grabbed the flag early and made it half way before his support disappeared hehe =) Then eventually after alot of stale mate fighting Eternity made a break through. With the help of Guess she snuck out of the base while smoking and cautiously made it all the way home for a 1-0 lead. While all this attack was happening dakaza was working her butt off on defence so Nano being the nice kind gentleman he is, helped her out down there =) Nano had a close call when he was up against two SE's and was smoking, right at his flag. But he destroyed them both and that was the last threat they posed in the game. Our second flag return came when Guess and DeadEye were up in attack. DeadEye was smoking but still grabbed the flag and thanks to Guess (and himself!) they blasted through the SE defence and made it all the way back to give us the win.

First off i would like to welcome Shiva and Dakaza to TBWA, woo! You guys are very cool, and female too! =P
Our first Clanwars match was against iD, and we won 3-0. Highlights of the game was when Nano finally got a kill and when Nano returned the flag =) But really though, we worked very well together (Guess, Eternity, BlizZ and Nano) and really creamed them.
We are looking forward to our next match, with Goose probably subbing in for me, against either Auara or Moo.
